Saby Samar,

Saby Reviews!

"This book is an insightful yet entertaining resource on insurance. The way this professional field is covered with the help of fables, illustrations, stories, and knowledge pointers – this book simply enhances the reading experience to a new level."

Garth Thomas,

Hollywood Digest

"While in less competent hands such a tonality could clash with the stats, Roberts has style, class, and expertise so everything fits. Making things communicatively simple, concise, and irreverent to boot not only makes the book feel empowering to a wide array of readers, but entertaining as well."

Colin Jordan,

Medium

"Roberts knows the pain and potential pitfalls navigating the world of insurance, so the sardonic undertones to the humor at play add a humanistic trait to what otherwise could increase the hypothetical migraine(s) navigating this terrain."

My Story

I am a seasoned claims adjuster with a desire to stop the confusion about insurance and claims. I  have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between industry jargon and everyday understanding. My journey in the field of insurance has been a blend of hands-on experience and a keen interest in making insurance accessible to all.

As the author of  The Art of Adjusting: Writing Down the Unwritten Rules of Claims Handling, I stepped into the literary world to spread knowledge and clarity to claims adjusters. My work as a historian in A Love Story: How the Heartland Fell in Love With A 400-year-old French Comedic Playwright, which was a National Indie Excellence Award (NIEA) finalist, reflects my versatility and deep-seated love for storytelling.

My writing style marries formality with a dash of humor and relatable stories, making complex topics like property and casualty insurance more engaging and understandable. With over 17 articles published in insurance trade journals and as a speaker at over 25 industry events, I've established myself as a voice of reason and as a thought leader in the industry.

The inspiration behind my latest book, Once Upon A Claim: Fairy Tales to Protect Your Ass(ets), stems from a personal and professional desire to level the playing field in insurance claims. My recent struggles with navigating the convoluted realm of medical insurance have only deepened my understanding and empathy towards those who feel lost and disempowered in the face of insurance complexities.

I'm not just an author and an adjuster; I'm an advocate for clarity and fairness. Through my books and articles, I aim to equip readers with the knowledge they need to feel confident and competent in their insurance dealings, ensuring that both claimants and adjusters can perform their roles effectively and justly.

Welcome to a world where insurance is not just a policy but a problem that can be unraveled.
